Frontier is a logistics management platform designed to streamline operations for businesses managing shipments, fleets, and supply chains.
Logistics has been a long-standing hassle for small businesses in Nigeria. As online businesses have exploded across industries, the need for a secure, accessible, and reliable logistics solution has never been greater.
Frontier helps these businesses manage day-to-day operations, so they no longer have to rely on unreliable methods to get items to their customers.
I interviewed 8 potential users, 6 of whom were business owners, to understand their needs and frustrations with logistics in Nigeria.
Clear priorities emerged: scheduling deliveries, live package tracking, and support for heavier business items. Trust was a recurring concern. Users wanted guaranteed safety and were willing to pay more for it.
Pricing was simplified into three factors: distance, fragility, and size/weight, forming four ride categories with predictable costs.
To address safety, I built in strict rider verification and sender safeguards: ID and vehicle checks, route-change alerts, and delivery-sharing with contacts.
This was an end-to-end project with heavy iteration. Every screen went through rounds of feedback and correction before landing on the final visuals.
It pushed me to navigate real UI trade-offs, balancing simplicity with the complexity of pricing, trust, and safety, and sharpened how I approach ambiguous, high-stakes product problems.
